An ethno-zoological investigation of use of tortoise meat for cure of some ailments in Bundu and Bero blocks of Ranchi district, Jharkhand, India

 Abstract: The use of small animal flesh and their rest parts by the local communities to cure ailments derives its origin from remote past and continues till today. Tortoise meat and its carapace along with some herbs occupy predominant place in this regard.
