Abstract : Information statistic indices are advanced tools which take into account rare species in a community based on the rational that diversity in natural habitat and ecosystem can be measured in the pattern similar to the way information contained in a genetic code or message is measured. The present research paper deals with various types of ISIs to cuantify the values of these indices with respect to the population of lady bugs or lady bird beetles belonging to the family coccinellidae of order coleoptera, randomly sampled from southern parts of Patna district, Bihar, India.
