Abstract : The present investigation deals with the study of stomata. The stomata allow gaseous exchange. In leaves they occur either on one surface or on both surfaces. The determination of stomatal index in ethnomedicinal plants like Ficus benghalensis, Ficus religiosa, Asparagus racemosus, etc are used in female sterility.
