Redescription of two known species of genus Metaclinostomum Pandey and Baugh, 1965 (Clinostomatidae) and one new species of the genus Allocreadium Looss, 1900 (Allocreadiidae)

Abstract :  The present paper deals with redescription of two metacercariae of the genus Metaclinostomum Pandey and Baugh, 1965 from the liver and body cavity of Channa punctatus (Bloch) and description of a new trematode Allocreadium assamensis n. sp. from the intestine of Colisa fasciatus (Schneider) from Karbhala wetland, Silchar, Assam.  A.assamensis n. sp. differs from all the known species of the genus Allocreadium in extension of cirrus pouch, vitellaria, size of oral and ventral suckers and in having single testis.
