Abstract : Triterpene ester glycosides, asiaticoside and madecassoside were isolated from ten samples of the medicinal plant Centella asiatica (Linn.) Urban collected from ten different localities of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh states of India. Amount of these compounds apparently varies among the ecotypes. This communication reports the protocol for isolation of these compounds.
