Scenedesmus species diversity of Ranchi Lake, Ranchi, Jharkhand

Abstract : Present paper deals with morphotaxonomical investigation of Scenedesmus species diversity, which is an economically important algae, growing in Ranchi Lake, Ranchi. Scenedesmus is a colonial algae of Chlorococcales which grows well on ponds, lakes and rivers. Total 21 taxa have been reported in this investigation during winter (2010).
