The status of Caryophyllaeus kashmirensis Mehra (1930) supposed to be a member of the family Caryophyllaeidae and facts about Caryophyllaeus laticeps Pallas, (1781)

Abstract : Caryophyllaeus kashmirensis Mehra (1930)¹ considered (I) – a species under enquiry by Mackiewicz (1981)³ tentatively under Capingentidae (II) – a member of Lytocestidae Mehra (1930)³ & Agarwal (1985)⁴ (III)- a member of Capingentidae Sahay et al (1998)⁵ is now considered a member of the family Caryophyllaeidae. The authors have valid reasons to do so.
