Abstract : Ethnomedicinal investigation undertaken in the khunti subdivision of Ranchi District, Jharkhand in the year 1991 -97, revealed that various fruits are eaten. Some of these edibles fruits and seeds are the important source of income to the tribals. Employment can be provided to the local people by collection and processing of these and seeds. Some of these and seeds also have the medicinal important.
