Abstract: Anxiety as such is a normal emotion to help an individual in overcoming challenging situation of life. However severe persistent or inappropriate anxiety warrants medical help. Anxiety disorders are commonly encountered by general medical practitioners and often treated symptomatically.
The present article is aimed to bring awareness among clinicians and scientists of related faculties regarding various anxiety disorders and role of present day Psychiatrist in alleviating the suffering of such patients.
