Prevalence rate of intestinal protozoan parasites in the school going children of Hajipur town of North Bihar, in the – winter season.

Abstract : Hajipur town is the zonal headqurter East Central Railway &  headquarter of Vaishali district of north Bihar (India). Parasites are known since ancient geological time, parasite infestation to school going children is a major health problem in winter season involving the academic condition of the school students. 339 studied school going children of Hajipur town in winter season exhibited 219 samples (64.60%) to be infected with intestinal parasites. The only protozoan parasites were prevalent in 45(13.27%).
