Prevalence rate of intestinal protozoan parasites in the school going children of Hajipur town of Bihar, in the hot-weather

Abstract : Hajipur town is the headquarter of Vaishali district of Bihar (India). Parasites are known since ancient geological time, parasite infestation to school going children is a major health problem in hot-weather involving the academic condition of the school students. 774 studied school going children of Hajipur town in hot-weather season exhibited 518 samples (66.92%) to be infected with intestinal parasites. The only protozoan parasites were prevalent in 105(13.56%).
