Abstract : Application of various types of insect ides, pesticides and herbicides in the crop field kills the target organism, but on the other hand it has adverse effects on the other living biota especially fishes, it also causes changes in physiochemical characteristics of aquatic media, making it unsuitable thereby causing catastrophic possibilities of the aquatic organism. Keeping in view of the adverse pesticide effects it was thought purposely to use these Larvivorous fishes for the control of mosquitoes as biological agents because biological control of vectors, through use of Larvivorous fish Gambusia affinis and Poecelia reticulate (Guppy) has been very strongly considered as a useful eco-friendly vector control approaches. In Vector control strategy for interrupting transmission especially in the reduction in the densities of mosquito vector can be achieved through Larvivorous fish.
