Oxygen conumption during different ontogenic stage and adult of Chrysocori-stollii

Abstract : Among pests the Hemipteran pests, specially the Heteroptera, are directly concerned with the welfare of man, because they cause several injury to some plant species of great commercial importance. In present work oxygen consumption during different ontogenic and adult stages of Chrysocoris – stollii have been studied. Oxygen consumption increases during nymphal instar. Gradual increase in oxygen unptake recorded in its to ivth instar. According to table given great increase in oxygen consumption from 1st to 3rd and 3rd to 4th instar is seen. In adults less amount of oxygen in comparison to developing period is recorded..
