Capingentoides nadiaensis sp. nov recovered from Clarias batrachus, has been described. The authors have reasons to consider the present cestode to be new. The measurement for different parameters of eighteen cestodes have been statistically analysed. The co-efficient of variation for all the parameters have been determined to assess their comparative conservativeness. Nearly fifteen characters have been found to be conservative.
