Abstract : SEED storage protein analysis by SDS-PAGE is one of the new stable parameters for detecting Intel-specific variations and establishing relationship among different species. In the present study SDS-AGE analysis of seed storage protein of two common species of Cassia i.e. Cassia occidentals L and Cassia sophera L was done. Cassia occidentalis showed 12 protein bands and Cassia sophera 16 protein bands. Most of the bands were at similar position showing 75% similarity but Cassia sophera had four extra bands.
