The LC50 for Rohu fish (Labeo rohita) fingerlings was 5.70, 0.5, 0.015 and 0.26 ppm for chlorpyrifos, methyl parathion, fenvalerate and fenpropathrin, respectively. These pesticides are highly sensitive to fingerlings and is alarming as it is commonly used in the agricultural fields and may affect the fisheries sector.

Key words: Pesticides, Methyl parathion, Fenvalerate, Rohu fish (Labeo rohita) fingerlings, ecosystem.
