Abstract:- Search for alternative flora competing with sunflower for foraging of butterflies indicated that mustard was not competitive flora with sunflower, on an average 6.21 butterflies visited/ minute/ m2 area while the least preferred flora was maize where 0.66 butterflies visited/ minute/m2 area.  The maximum number of butterfly visits were 5.87 minute/m2 area at 12.00 noon while the least number of butterfly visits wear 3.44/minute/m2 area at 4 P.M.
