Abstract: Bee venom has been the subject of recent scientific investigation due to its biological properties. such as antibiotic, anti inflammatory, anesthetic, healing, immuno-modulatory, antioxidant, and carcinostatic. The purpose of this study was to analyze the biochemical profile of venom-treated rabbits to observe whether venom might lead to side effects after administration. Evaluation of various blood parameters like Hb, TEC, TLC, PCV, Platelet count, and associated parameters, while biochemical investigations included assessment of total protein, glucose, creatinine, and cholesterol, concentrations in control as well as venom-treated rabbit were performed. The envenomated rabbits showed clinically important changes in haematological and seric biochemical parameters, which indicate kidney and liver malfunctioning.
