Abstract: Cardiovascular disorders constitute a challenging problem throughout the world. The present study on 200 cases (141 males and 59 females) of cardiovascular disorders in Ranchi, Jharkhand State, revealed that the incidence was much more in the non-vegetarians as compared to the vegetarians. Among the non-vegetarians, the incidence was found to be in direct proportion to the frequency and the use of non-vegetarian items.
