Status of Ichthyofauna in relation to hydrobiology of Ponds in Gaya, India

Abstract: Ponds are good candidates of fishery and having a place of diversity of species. Each pond has to be characterized thoroughly to investigate the reason for availability of particular species. Physico-chemical parameters of pond water and seasonal variation influence the survival of certain species. The results are quiet fluctuating in the ponds investigated for one year. This is due to quality of water and biota which were reported of varying degree.
