Abstract: Industrialization have incorporated lot of toxic chemicals which affect normal functioning of biological molecules Fluoride being one of them shows adverse effects on not only the calcareous tissue but almost all soft tissue including reproductive organs. A highly significant (P>0.001) increase in the uterine weight in different stages of estrous cycle was observed when experimental rats were kept in high nutritional status supplemented with fluoride, high temperature and long duration (LDL) (18hL:6hD) in comparison to rats kept in low nutritional status, low temperature and long duration dark (LDD) (18hD:6hL) indicating the involvement of pineal gland in mammalian uterine function.
