Abstract: A survey was conducted in ten rice fields of Murliganj block, district Madhepura. Algal samples were collected from each fields soil samples were also collected from five sports of each fields. Blue green algae from each field were identified. Distribution pattern of BGA was also studied. All together 29 species belonging to 11 genera were recorded.
