Abstract : A comparative study of physicochemical characteristic of B.R.B. College pond (I) and Sugar factory pond (II) have been done. The factors taken into consideration are temperature, transparency, turbidity, total dissolved solids, pH, dissolved oxygen (BOD), free carbon dioxide, carbonate alkalinity, bicarbonate alkalinity, total alkalinity, total hardness, total nitrogen & phosphate, potassium chloride concentration, calcium & magnesium etc.
The above parameters & their trends in different months have been indicated. The correlation coefficient (r) of physicochemical parameters of respective ponds have also been worked out. A systematic survey of angiosperms also have been done (to be published later).
Key words : Physiochemical analysis BRB College, Sugar factory perennial ponds.
