Abstract– Developmental delays, neurological impairment, and cardiovascular disease are just a few of the negative health consequences of lead poisoning, a serious public health concern. Porphyrin synthesis, namely delta-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) and porphobilinogen, is frequently linked to lead toxicity (PBG). This review includes a collection of case studies that explore the connection between lead poisoning and lead porphyrin synthesis. The case studies offer a thorough review of the clinical traits, laboratory results, and therapeutic approaches for lead poisoning brought on by lead porphyrin synthesis. The review also examines the limitation and difficulties of employing lead porphyrin synthesis as a biomarker for lead poisoning, including the possibility of false positives and the requirement for additional confirmatory tests. The evaluation finishes by emphasizing the necessity for more investigation to better comprehend the connection between lead toxicity and lead porphyrin synthesis as well as to create fresh lead toxicity detection and therapy methods.
