Abstract: Five local isolates of Blue-green Algae, Nostoc commune, N. linckia, Anabaena circinalis, Anabaena macrospora, Anabaena lapponica were selected to assess the effect of Phosphate cane on Akinete formation. It was observed that increases in Phosphate conc. Reduced Akinate formation.
