Abstract : Gupta and Verma (2012)1 described a new species of a trematode of the genus Ganeo called G.devendrai but provided camera lucida drawing of G.patnensis (vide Recent Life Sc.Mirror,1(I): 21-24. This is a serious mistake.
The present authors intend to critically examine the validity of G.devendrai on the basis of the informations of different species available under the genus Ganeo and wish to point out the lacunae of the said research article.
The authors have reasons to place the trematode Ganeo devendrai a species under enquiry.
