Abstract : Lepidopterous Insect pest complex of timber trees in Jharkhand was studied in order to develop a suitable pest management strategy. During the present investigation about 18 species of different insect pests were recorded from 10 families of Order Lepidoptera. The timber trees taken were Dalbergia sissoo, Gmelina arborea, Tectona grandis, Albizzia lebbek, Sorea robusta and Terminalia arjuna. Apart from it many insects remained unidentified which were of economic importance causing damage to the trees.
