Abstract : Fishes are an important sources of animal proteins, to supplement the nutritional deficiencies. They are being used as food by human beings from before the prehistoric age till today. Due to these reasons this paper presents the important results of the phosphate content and PH of water to Taj Baj Khan Pokhara Hajipur and Rani Pokhar (Mahua-Hajipur Road) Vaishali district of Bihar during the year 2010. The maximum PH was recorded in the month of September and the minimum in the month of December in both the ponds. Phosphate content varied between 3.8 to 14.3 gm/litre and 3.9 to 13.7 gm/litre respectively in pond A and B. The phosphate content was higher from June to August.
