Abstract : The present study investigated the protective effect of Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) on Endosulfan induced histopathological changes in the kidneys of Swiss Albino mice. Endosulfan caused histopathological changes in the cytoarchitecture of the kidneys of mice in the form of tubular degeneration, inflammation, cloudy swellings, vacuolization in renal tubules and interstitial nephritis. All these changes in the cellular integrity were remarkably restored by the administration of Ashwagandha.
