Abstract : The pharmacognostical studies were investigated on Nyctanthes arbortristis L. The green leaves were dried under natural condition and powdered in grinder. The macroscopic study revealed the morphological character, taxonomy and Oleaceae family was identified. In microscopic study anomocytic type of stomata was reported. Anatomy of the plant parts (petiole, midrib and leaf) was done. Powder analysis of the plant was done in which examination of trichomes stomata and lignified cell were reported.
