Abstract : Root bark and stem bark of Aegle marmelos (Linn) Correa were compared on the basis of their pharmacognostical and phytochemical properties. Macroscopic studies, powder analysis, moisture content, ash value, Rf value, florescence analysis and chemical group test were done. All these tests indicates that the medicinal property of root bark was higher then stem bark.
