Abstract : The analysis of plant height, number of primary branches, number of flowers, pods, seeds ovules per plant were done which showed stimulatory effect of gamma irradiation at lower dose level and deleterious impact at higher ones. The studies of these physiomorphological traits were helpful in deducing the radio-response of the two varieties. Vigna radiata (L.) var. P.B. was more radiosensitive than Vigna radiata (L.) var. S-8. Similar trends were observed in M2 generation. However, the response to increase in dose-level was different in M2 generation which was more stimulatory at lower dose level and less repressive at higher dose levels.
