Abstract: A new trematode of the genus Phaneropsolus (Lecithodendiidae: Trematoda) has been described from Acridotheres tristis from Ranchi. The fluke has been compared with the existing species and the differences have been noted. The authors have reasons to consider the present trematode a new species.
