About Us
MADHAWI – SHYAM EDUCATIONAL TRUST (MSET) was founded on 30th November 2005 under the Trust Registration Act at Ranchi, Jharkhand, by Late Prof. (Dr.) Mahendra Prasad, a distinguished Senior Professor of Zoology at Ranchi University, and Mrs. Pali Vasudha, Retired Assistant Director (Official Language), O/o GMT, BSNL, Ranchi. The trust was established in loving memory of their parents, whom they revered as the Almighty—the Creator—and as their Guru.
A resident of Village Mahuwa, District Vaishali, Bihar, Mrs. Pali Vasudha, along with Prof. (Dr.) Mahendra Prasad, envisioned the trust as a platform to promote excellence in the field of education, with a special focus on biological sciences.
Since its inception, MSET has spearheaded a range of multidimensional and creative educational initiatives. One of its flagship achievements is the establishment of the International Consortium of Contemporary Biologists (ICCB) in 2008. This high-profile academic and research forum, operating under MSET, has successfully organized seven International Conferences across major Indian cities including Ranchi, Patna, and Bengaluru.
The trust is also deeply committed to social responsibility. It extends scholarships, financial assistance, tuition fee support, and even free education to underprivileged children. Moreover, to honor and promote scientific excellence, MSET has instituted Life Scientist Memorial and Foundation Chair Gold Medal Awards for outstanding researchers in the life sciences.

International Consortium of Contemporary Biologists (ICCB - MSET India)
The International Consortium of Contemporary Biologists (ICCB) is a prestigious academic and research initiative functioning under the aegis of the MADHAWI – SHYAM EDUCATIONAL TRUST (MSET), Ranchi. Founded in 2008, ICCB was envisioned by Late Prof. (Dr.) Mahendra Prasad, a renowned Zoologist and Senior Professor at Ranchi University, as a global platform for fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the field of biological sciences.
As a core academic body of MSET, ICCB has been instrumental in organizing seven International Conferences across major cities of India such as Ranchi, Patna, and Bengaluru, bringing together eminent scientists, educators, and researchers from around the world. These conferences have served as a hub for the exchange of contemporary ideas, groundbreaking research, and emerging trends in life sciences and allied disciplines.
ICCB also plays a pivotal role in promoting scholarly contributions through the publication of BIOSPECTRA (ISSN: 0973-7057), an international bi-annual refereed journal of life sciences, launched in September 2006 under the MSET banner. This journal provides a credible platform for researchers to disseminate their work globally and contributes significantly to academic discourse.
In line with the humanitarian vision of MSET, ICCB supports educational growth through scholarships, fee waivers, and financial aid to deserving students, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds. It has also instituted prestigious Life Scientist Memorial and Foundation Chair Gold Medal Awards to recognize outstanding contributions in the field of biological research.
